I haven’t had a chance to write about my Saturday’s trip to the Design Museum earlier - apologies.
First of all, taking photographs inside the museum was not allowed. That was a real disappointment, as I was so much looking forward to taking photos of all these beauties displayed in the museum! That’s why in order to keep this post a little bit more exciting, I’ve attached some photos I found on the internet.
There is so much that has been said already in reviews and I don’t think I can write anything new. I loved the carousel with the selection of some iconic shoes, including the ones from the new collection (like these beauties). There were plenty of Louboutin’s personal photographs from his travels, adolescent years etc (what a treat!).

In the middle of the first room there was a red runway, which displayed a selection of glittery, sexy and ultra-glamorous pumps. Right behind it, there was a stage where a life sized hologram of Dita Von Teese did a 3-minute long burlesque show. I was mesmerized - I had never seen a hologram live before!

There is also a separate Fetish room, which features the collection designed especially for David Lynch - back in 2007, Louboutin was commissioned by Lynch to design a ‘shoe like objects’, which were later photographed by Lynch and presented in an exhibition. My, oh my, those shoes were ridiculously weird! Google them out, if you dare…

Overall, it was a superb exhibition - I am so glad I could see it, but now I really, really want to go CL shoes shopping!
Happy Friday everyone! I am so happy and relieved the weekend is *nearly* here (in about 6hrs, to be precise!). I’ve been feeling quite poorly this week and stayed at home yesterday, as I was sneezing and coughing everywhere and didn’t feel it would be appropriate to spread my germs even more at my work colleagues.
But onwards and upwards - it’s Saturday tomorrow! And I am so looking forward to it, especially that I am going to the Design Museum to see Christian Louboutin’s exhibition - yes, THE famous exhibition. I am going with the girls from my previous work. I have no idea what to expect, as I’ve been avoiding the reviews - I want to be totally surprised (and I’m sure I will be, knowing Mr Louboutin’s quirkiness!). I am planning to take my DSLR, so hopefully I will have some good photos to put up here. After the exhibition, we are planning to go for a spot of lunch at the nearby restaurant and exchange the impressions.
Now the question is…. what do I wear tomorrow?
One day, hopefully soon, you will be mine!
