This needs to be me, soon!

I could easily put more photos, but these are the best ones that capture what we did during our 5 days in the city. Needless to say, we had an amazing time (despite the miserable weather) and fell in love with the city. We are hoping to come back there soon to explore it even further…
It’s now only 8 weeks left until we go to New York and there is finally a progress in the planning. I was granted the tourist visa a couple of weeks ago and we’ve now found accommodation through airbnb (after many ups and downs and that beautiful apartment falling through - I was heartbroken, to say the least). We will be staying in a lovely and modern apartment on Roosevelt Island, which is located between Manhattan and Brooklyn.
I’ve also been asking friends for various recommendations and started putting together a list of places I want to visit/see/check out, including lots of coffee shops, bakeries, bars and restaurants. I am therefore pretty sure I will put back all the weight I’ve recently lost over the course of our trip (and I’m fine with that!) ;-)

Even though I got back to London on Monday, I didn’t really have time this week to blog. I was super busy (and stressed) at and now I am sooo glad the weekend is finally here. I am planning to do some housework tomorrow but tonight I’m having time for myself only (husband is out with his work colleagues). This means red wine and fashion magazines!
… I’m going to:
And I will be doing this all with my lovely mum! :-)
It’s packing time again!
This time I am flying out to Poland on Friday night in order to attend my nephew’s christening and later that day me and my mum are going to Crete for a week. I am so looking forward to having a ‘girlie time’ with my mum and I can imagine our week away will consist of sunbathing, drinking cocktails, having long walks on the beach and talking, talking, talking…
But before then I need to finish packing my suitcase and as always, it’s proving to be a rather stressful thing to do!

Me and my husband finally took the plunge last night and booked our November flights to New York. It still hasn’t sunk in yet, perhaps because now the dreading visa-obtaining-process will start…? As I’m Polish, I unfortunately need to have one to be able to enter the US (even for leisure). I’ve heard stories from people I know that it is so darn hard to get it, as the process and interviewing is so gruelling. My company, however, kindly offered to help me with any arrangements and this process, so fingers crossed I will be able to get it sooner rather than later.
Either way, I am so excited that I’ve already started a new Word doc this morning and will be updating it on a regular basis with places to see / coffee shops to go to / shopping trips to do… :-)

This is going to be me on holidays tomorrow.
I am having this right now, but I am putting off the packing - I hate this part of traveling!

Only a week until our holidays in Greece! I am sooo beyond excited and cannot wait for next Thursday!
We are going to Kefalonia to attend our dear friends’ wedding, so all of my and my husband’s friends are going to be there - it’s going to be a one big party!
I’m looking forward to chilling by the pool, having cocktails, catching up on my reading, swimming, sunbathing and spending quality time with friends.
