I’ve had such a good day at work that I’ve decided to treat myself to a delicious coffee from St. Ali - a place across the road from my office, where I came before my job interview, three months ago. I’d like to think of this place as lucky, as today I’ve officially passed my probationary period! So I’m here to have a celebratory cup of coffee!

Wise words, Steve.
As you may know from some of my posts, I recently got a new job, but I didn’t even tell you how the first day went, what I wore etc.
The first day went OK, everyone was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. And my bosses are great, I get along with them really well. For those who are interested, I joined a media company as a PA to two senior bosses. It’s been a change to what I was doing before and some may even say that it is a ‘step down’ from my previous position. Most importantly, I don’t feel it like that way - for me, it is perhaps a step sidweways, but with more opportunities, more room for development and future. And for the first time in a long time I feel appreciated and I enjoy what I do - even though I’ve only been doing it for a week and a half. I truly believe that I had to take the risk of leaving my previous job, something that I had lost my passion for, reassess what I’m good at and think of what I want to achieve it in the future. And it looks like taking this risk has paid off. I am happy, I am no longer stressed, I no longer wake up in the morning dreading going to work and wishing my day away. I now enjoy waking up in the morning, starting the day off with a smile and looking forward to getting to the office where I’m surrounded by great and inspiring people. And I agree with Steve Jobs - you have to love what you do, as it takes so much time of your life. I haven’t felt so calm and happy in months.
And however strange it may sound - I am actually looking forward to tomorrow.
